Justin Jefferson has averaged 53 yards a game in six games under McCarthy. Jefferson averaged 99 yards per contest with Kirk Cousins and 90 yards with Sam Darnold. McCarthy has had four games with two interceptions and thrown 10 interceptions in six starts. To some degree, he’s lucky he hasn’t thrown more. According to PFF, he had 12 turnover-worthy play during that time span. In Week 12, McCarthy’s passer rating was 34.2. If a quarterback spiked the football every play, then his passer rating would be 39.5. This is his second passer rating under 39.6 this season.
