All Elite Wrestling is back with the penultimate pay per view of the year: AEW Full gear. Adam Page “Hangman”, Samoa Joe and their WrestleDream match for the world championship are rematches, but inside a steel-cage. After multiple failed attempts throughout the year, “Hangman”, Adam Page and Samoa Joe fought back their world championship match from WrestleDream. This time they did it in a steel cage. After Joe and The Opps attacked “Hangman”, their hostilities escalated. Page puts Joe in a cage on Saturday. Full Gear will also crown its inaugural National Champion, a title that is meant to be defended by promotions other than AEW. Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and the Hurt Syndicate team will be the initial participants in the Casino Gauntlet. The match begins with just two participants. At regular intervals, new participants join the fray. However, the match can be ended at any time by submission or pinfall. The match could theoretically end with just two or as many as 21 competitors in the ring. Darby Alin of AEW, Kenny Omega from Full Gear, TBS champion Mercedes Mone and other notable wrestlers are all present at Full Gear. Omega, one of the top wrestlers who has never competed with WWE, has admitted that he is thinking about his retirement.
“I have been thinking about this timing a great deal. Omega said to CBS Sports that another important thing is I do not want people to feel sad when I leave. This may sound strange, but I do not want them feeling sad. The best-case scenario would be if they didn’t even realize that I was gone. I would love to be able to rest easy knowing that my company has enough stars to make their star shine brightly enough to keep them from noticing that I am gone.
